Mental Health America of Hawai`i is Hiring a Training Program Assistant Near Honolulu, HI

This is a full-time, in-person, entry level position.
Ability to learn, master, and teach back a curriculum is critical.
Social media, photo and video editing, and voice over skills are preferred.
The Training Program Assistant, under the supervision of the Executive Director, is responsible for being an active member in the organizations overall mental health training, education, and advocacy efforts through community trainings and education, including the production and deployment of high quality social media posts across all of MHAH’s platforms.
Essential Duties
  • Conduct mental health training for a broad range of ages, competencies, and topics, incorporating diverse learning styles and training techniques in accordance with the agency’s current projects and training plan.
  • Representing the agency at approved community events and meetings, including preparation of materials.
  • Coordinate activities and events, including community outreach, tabling, trainings, presentations, conferences, et al.
  • Create, maintain and organize program and project files, printed materials and presentations.
  • Implement community outreach plans for training dissemination
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, including attendance at meetings and presentations, conferences, etc.
  • Participate in agency-led coalitions and represent the agency on relevant approved community coalitions as assigned.
  • Participate in implementation of agency communication plan, including creation of social media posts and management of agency social media accounts.
  • Design and post, including video recording, editing, etc., of raw footage for social media education efforts.
  • Assist the public by responding to Finding Help calls.
  • Participate in agency meetings and contribute to an office culture of acceptance, collaboration, compassion, and wellness
  • Work with other agency staff to meet grant requirements related to training, including budgeting, data collection, outcome measurement, and reporting requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned
