About the role:

As a Sales Representative, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing customers with fast and friendly service. You will build relationships with customers, process transactions, maintain floor merchandise and inventory standards, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit. Key responsibilities in Sales Representative role include:

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly guest service
• Educates guests about wine and spirits
• Receives and stocks wine and wine store merchandise
• Assists with wine store inventory, invoice review and requisitions
• Rotates, faces and replenishes merchandise and ensures highest quality standards are met
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call
• Assists with scheduling and administrative duties
• Fulfills orders, responds to emails and provides customer service for the Ecommerce platform
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
• Perform cashier functions and follow minor policy while completing customer transactions
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to learn how you can provide customers with recommendations and connect them to the right products
• Replenish and maintain inventory and store visual presentation, including home spots, end caps, and platforms in preparation for product delivery
• Maintain store safety and cleanliness standards on the sales floor, stock room,, bathroom
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, which may also depend on your preference for part-time or full-time hours

PAY RATE: BASE IS HOURLY AT $17 PER HOUR (TIPS, COMMISSION/BONUSES CAN BE INCLUDED = AVERAGE $22/hr)

Qualifications:

• 1-year retail sales associate, cashier/cash handling, merchandiser, or inventory specialist experience preferred, to include greeting customers, stocking, merchandising, managing inventory, or replenishment
• Experience in wine and spirits highly preferred
• Passionate about wine, beers and spirits
• Knowledge of dispatching and routing preferred, but not necessary
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude
• Value collaboration and acting as a team player
• Desire to develop retail service skills and knowledge of product and services
• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Use of Shopify knowledge or any e-commerce platform highly preferred, but not necessary
• Ability to learn quickly and ability to associate/learn about multiple products and brands
