High Desert Medical Group is seeking a full time PBX Operator. This individual will be responsible for processing all incoming calls promptly and professionally. This process includes, but is not limited to, transferring calls, relaying information, taking messages, and paging providers and employees.

Summary of Duties:

• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
• Takes messages obtaining all necessary information, relays to recipient at first available opportunity.
• Overhead pages employees when necessary.
• Assists in locating provides, managers, and other staff when necessary.
• Initiates and participates in emergency codes.
• Updates phone number changes and assists in preparing updated telephone directories.
• Correctly transfers PBX functions to answering service at end of shift.
• Works effectively with others toward department goals.
• Creatively contributed to problem solving for outcome and process improvement.
• Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $34,840.00 and $47,819.20/year, non-exempt; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year PBX experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to work in a multi-task, high volume environment.
