Job Summary

Citywide CPR, a national training organization, is looking for experienced BLS instructors to support our clients by delivering exceptional training experiences. Applicants must hold a current American Heart Association BLS Instructor certification in good standing to be considered for this opportunity. Potential teaching opportunities include First Aid, CPR/AED (all ages), Pediatric FA, Bloodborne & Airborne Pathogens, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification courses.

Applicants should be familiar and experienced with traditional classroom and blended training formats.

Responsibilities and Duties

Instructors are responsible for providing high quality, superior instruction, completing and returning all required course documentation, and maintaining their own high quality, fully functioning training equipment for each class..

Qualifications and Skills

• Must possess a valid AHA BLS Instructor Card
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; college degree preferred
• Must pass background check
• Have a valid DL, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Must be willing and able to travel within a specified and agreed upon area
• Be proficient in all basic First Aid/BBP and CPR/AED/BLS skills
• Experience teaching AHA classes
• Ability to communicate course material in a clear and understandable manner
• Be comfortable teaching in small and large classes settings (with support for larger classes)
• Must meet physical requirements to instruct class, including the ability to lift/carry at least 20 lbs
• Must own, or have access to, all required class training equipment
• Flexible schedule: opportunities available during days, evenings, and weekends
• Work in education or service industry is a plus, but not required.
• Basic computer and email skills are desirable

Expectations

• Access to phone, internet and email; responsive to communication from Citywide CPR staff
• Arrive 30-45 minutes prior to start of class for set-up; advise Citywide CPR staff and/or customer point of contact of any issues that could cause delays
• Represent Citywide CPR to customers, presenting professional appearance and attitude and providing excellent customer service; course evaluations will be provided to clients following classes
• Maintain thorough familiarity with treatment protocols and company policy.
• Facilitate all certification courses in accordance with the current AHA guidelines
• Operational flexibility to meet sudden and unpredictable needs
• Additional administrative work and time may be needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Choose your own hours
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed
