Job Description

Italian and English speaking Full responsibility of childrens daily lives, such as- - manage all school responsibilities and diary - coordination of after school activities - ensure homework is done on time and to best of their ability, recognising areas of concern / further development - manage and coordinate personal appointments, such as doctors, dentist, social clubs etc Focus on child development - (one of the children is dyslexic )Encourages the girls to play an active part in the household, incl but not limited to - - preparing meals - clearing away after meals - tidying their own rooms - feeding pets Is encouraging of and can participate in physical activities Is happy, and able, to read to the girls, explore new subjects, excite them to try new things Encourages the girls to participate in joint activities, incl but not limited to - - writing - creating poems and plays - playing board games - making gifts / cards etc Is willing and able to communicate with the adults in their lives - - parents, grandparents, teachers, tutors etc.

A proactive approach to childcare; able to seek out and arrange new experiences as appropriate

Requirements

Wonderful part European family looking for their next live in nanny. The nanny who is leaving has worked for the family for 10 years! (that says a lot!)

You will have a lovely room with your own private bathroom.

Caring for 2 school aged daughters (7 & 10yrs)

The House Manager and father are both Italian speaking. Nanny-governess should have experience with children of these ages 7 year to teenage, and be used to helping children with homework and learning.

The day starts at 6.30am, getting the girls up and off to school. They are at school all day. Then nanny looks after the children after school until bedtime 8.30pm / 9pm.

Driving is not required, as the House Manager drives.

There is no general cleaning required as the family has a housekeeper, but nanny-governess should tidy up after herself and the children.

Mum works long hours, therefore flexibility is required, but nanny herself has many hours off during the day, so this is not a difficult role.

And with the previous nanny having worked for the family for 10 years, we can confidently say they are very lovely employers.

Travelling with the family is not required aside from maybe 2 short trips to the family home in Switzerland for ski-ing.

The girls are really looking for a fun, cheerful, organised nanny whom they can look up to as a role model. Someone who can be there for them, be fully responsible but also have fun with.

Fluent Italian and English

A good education, preferably including a university degree.

Knowledge or etiquette and manners

Excellent references for recent and relevant nanny / nanny-governess work.

A nanny who has stayed in their previous nanny jobs for

long term.

Preference for a nanny who has worked for a HNW / VIP family previous in a role which required 24 hr or night cover and liaising with other staff.

Sound knowledge of school curriculum

Able to plan fun, interesting and educational activities.

Essential is a kind and caring, warm, fun and bubbly personality

Right to work in UK.

Paediatric First Aid

Up to date Enhanced DBS or on DBS update service.- we can help you apply for a new one if needed.

Requirements

Nanny must be able to speak Italian and English 3 years experience caring for children ages 7-12 Excellent checkable references for your previous nanny work.

Clean up to date enhanced DBS Right to work in UK Good education, training or qualifications. Please note : This is a non smoking position
