Job description

General Responsibilities:
Perform daily inspections, monitoring quality and adherence to welding code requirements, shop drawings and project specifications. Inspections will mainly focus within structural steel. Inspection includes visual/physical inspection. To verify conformance with the plans and specifications. Prepare inspection reports and provide written documentation of observations and testing of materials. Communicate findings to the engineer or project manager and when requested. Collaborate with the project team on solutions to potential issues.

Salary range is from $28.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

· Performs testing if qualified, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures.

· Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications.

· Provides clear documentation of findings and results.

· Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the Project Manager.

· Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

· Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification
