Admissions/Business Office Associate

Assisted Living Home in High Point is looking for an Admissions/Business Office Associate to handle day to day business office needs as well as market the facility and be responsible for Admissions of new residents.

Admissions: will represent the Assisted Living Home with the area hospitals and other medical professionals, and participate in marketing the facility. Business office: Will be responsible for preparing the necessary paperwork required for accurate monthly resident billing statements, census information, trust accounts, and updating resident information.

Primary functions of position:

• Accurate assessment of referrals in conjunction with the Administrator
• Prepare and distribute the Admissions Packet to appropriate parties
• Weekly marketing to local skilled facilities for potential admissions
• Evaluate social issues during the assessment process
• Maintain daily census tracking records (bed holds, admits, readmits, discharges, room changes)
• Keep area hospitals informed of bed availability
• Have general knowledge of Advance Directive
• Have all admissions paperwork signed in a timely manner
• Maintain accuracy on all resident trust accounts (withdrawals, deposits, monthly balance, prepare monthly statements)
• Add new admits demographic and payer types

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma, Two-year degree with some business background. Experience in admissions/business office in Assisted Living Facility or Skilled Nursing Home preferred.
