Receiving/Inventory Specialist Intern Job Summary: The Receiving/Inventory Specialist Intern will train along side the Retail Manager and oversee the organization’s daily replenishment of product and processing of incoming product and freight. Below are the fundamental areas that the Receiving/Inventory Specialist must perform on a daily basis to ensure positive retail operations.
Replenishes all product from previous days sales based of restocking SOP
Receives and processes all incoming freight
Process new product by scanning into system and ensuring tagged and priced correctly
Oversees/conducts all back-end inventory control processes
Work with Retail Director, Operations Director, and General Manager on any inventory issues or feedback
Maintains and organizes stock room and off-site storage area
Assist and help guests to achieve sales goals and targets
Effectively process transactions through Retail POS system
Other Related duties as directed by management
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Must have solid communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to guests and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least 8 consecutive hours and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds at a time
Must be willing to work peak hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
Extensive knowledge of operations and production management
Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
