The Blast Chiller Operator is responsible for the safety, quality, and efficiency of our egg bites production process. The primary responsibility will be operating and monitoring blast chillers to rapidly cool and preserve the quality of our egg bites.

Position Responsibilities:

Blast Chiller Operation:

· Operate and monitor blast chillers to ensure proper and rapid cooling of egg bites in accordance with established protocols.

· Adjust chiller settings based on product specifications, ensuring optimal temperature and timing for each batch.

· Assist in moving product from production floor to blast chiller.

Quality Assurance:

· Conduct regular checks on the temperature, humidity, and airflow within the blast chiller to maintain product quality and safety standards.

· Collaborate with the quality control team to implement corrective actions and prevent deviations from quality standards.

· Take product temperature readings according to food safety standards.

Record Keeping:

· Maintain accurate and detailed records of blast chiller operations, including temperature logs, batch numbers, and any adjustments made during the process.

· Communicate effectively with the production leads and quality control teams to report any issues or abnormalities.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

· Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of blast chillers in accordance with company policies and hygiene standards.

· Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly to the maintenance team.

· Inspects tools for cleanliness and follows standards to avoid cross-contamination.

Safety Compliance:

· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating blast chillers, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

· Participate in safety training programs and contribute to continuous improvement in safety practices.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation company policy.

• Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP)

• Take direction by Shift Lead.

• Work in a different work area, as needed.

• Report any product deviations to Lead and/or Supervisor.

• Proper use PPE such as: hair net/gloves/GMP compliant attire and footwear

• Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include extended production runs (8–12-hour work days)

REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Read and write basic English.
• Basic math skills
• Able and willing to complete CGMP, HACCP, SSOPs, safety, and equipment trainings

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 years food processing experience
• Able and willing to complete quality and safety training.

Experience:

• HVAC: 1 year (Preferred)
