Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our medical office. Your primary responsibilities will include managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with insurance verification
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and notify office manager
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care
-collect copays and deductibles
- complete radiology and medication prior authorizations
- Obtain Vitals and patient complaints for visits as needed
- Perform EKGs and give I/M injections
Skills:
- Proficiency in computer systems and software commonly used in medical offices
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Experience with electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
