Ingram State Technical College is Hiring a Coordinator of Institutional Effectiveness Near Elmore, AL

Position Summary

The Coordinator of Institutional Effectiveness leads the College in planning and institutional effectiveness activities; develops and implements the College’s strategic plan; ensures the College has a current, clearly defined, comprehensive, and published mission statement as well as institutional goals, student learning outcomes, and operation/program outcomes; facilitates the survey process for the College; ensures compliance with COE accreditation requirements through the College’s planning and evaluation processes; works with administration to develop policies, procedures, budgets, and plans for implementing educational support programs. Listed below are the primary responsibilities for the position; however, other professional duties may be assigned by the Dean of Instruction or his/her designee to meet the College’s needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the College’s planning and institutional effectiveness activities to identify the strategic information necessary to continuously assess and strengthen the College’s mission, goal, programs, and services.
  • Directs the development and assessment of college-wide institutional goals, student learning outcomes, and outcomes for administrative support services, as well as student support.
  • Works with the Dean of Instruction to develop and offer strong academic support programs.
  • Assumes responsibilities for keeping the College in compliance with COE institutional effectiveness criteria.
  • Analyzes and interprets institutional and environmental data and performance measurements to aid senior leaders and College staff in planning and decision-making; formulates analytical summaries, findings, and recommendations for action and further study.
  • Conducts, analyzes, and evaluates labor market information to assist the College in coordinating programmatic offerings with local business and industry needs.
  • Provide IE-related reports to federal, state, and institutional entities as required.
  • Coordinate the review and writing processes for accreditation reports, including the Compliance Audit for publication.
  • Works with other administrators to prepare a budget recommendation.
  • Develops and/or revises institutional policies related to institutional effectiveness and special projects.
  • Participates in ongoing training related to various aspects of Institutional Effectiveness.
  • Serves on the Institutional Effectiveness Committee and other College committees as the Institutional Effectiveness Representative.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • An understanding of and commitment to the philosophy and mission of a community and technical college.
  • Sensitivity and commitment to cultural diversity.
  • Serves on committees as needed.
  • Complies with any applicable guidelines, procedures, and policies set forth by the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and JF Ingram State Technical College.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in leadership and resource development/management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, and team-building skills lead to logical decisions.
  • Experience with the day-to-day operation of a busy, multi-service office, including supervision, evaluations, and mentoring of staff and professional development.
  • The ability to manage and communicate with large groups of unclassified incarcerated students daily without supervision is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, public administration, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution; three (3) years of full-time experience in managing and monitoring budgets for federal, state, and local programs; three (3) years of full-time experience in policies and procedures for federal, state, and local program are required.
Master’s degree in business, management, public administration, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution; proven grant writing success with federal and/or state agencies; experience conducting organizational research for strategic planning and organizing and presenting information to stakeholders; experience shaping and delivering advocacy and fundraising messaging to local, state, and federal legislators; knowledge of academic research procedures ispreferred.

Salary Range: Salary will be determined by placement on the appropriate Alabama Community College System-approved salary schedule. C 03 ($64,700 - $101,034)
