Reveam Inc is Hiring a Sanitation supervisor Near Allen, TX

Description (objectives of the position) :

This position is responsible for ensuring plant compliance with appropriate and applicable Food Safety and Sanitation laws and regulations including but not limited to USDA, HACCP, SSOP, and GMP requirements.

This position is responsible for all food safety and sanitation internal audits, written policies, procedures, and programs, as well as making recommendations for corrective actions and / or modifying procedures, policies and programs as needed and ensure those changes are properly documented and implemented.

Duties and Responsibilities (functions required to perform the position, the removal of which would fundamentally change the job)

Responsibilities Include :

Food Safety

  • Design and implement the Food Safety Program (FSP)
  • HACCP (Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Points) integration and monitoring into the facility
  • Design and ensure in-house Food Safety audits
  • Design and implement procedure for receiving product inspection and approval of product ready to be shipped
  • Design and implement SSOP (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Design and implement procedures to communicate with customers on short-dated product, shrink and other Food Safety issues or non-compliance on timely basis
  • Ensure the adherence to all applicable FDA health and OSHA safety regulations while handling the product
  • Responsible for training management and employees on proper Food Safety Procedures
  • Oversees the treating process of the product, to identify opportunities for improvement related to Food Safety Procedures and Protocols
  • Ensure the completion of all required paperwork and forms related to Food Safety activities in an accurate and timely manner
  • Work closely with operations and quality-dosimetry personnel to achieve company initiatives
  • Timely review of records generated by quality-dosimetry and other operational areas for accuracy and validity
  • Closely work with QC-Dosimetry Supervisor to track and ensure the calibration of lab equipment
  • Design, implement and ensure Inspection Programs of the storage and holding areas, and reporting issues to plant or facility managers using the proper documents and forms
  • Design Procedures and forms to report food safety issues or non-compliance as needed to facility managers and / or to customers

Sanitation

  • Design and Implement (or review) the Sanitation Program
  • Oversees Sanitation and Janitorial staff activities and inventory
  • Ensures the Sanitation, Janitorial and all the employees adhere to our SSOP as well as local and federal regulations
  • Design and develop systems or action plans to prevent issues before they affect our operations.
  • Identify training needs and provide, if needed, training to Sanitation employees
  • Maintain inventory of disinfectant and other cleaning supplies used by Sanitation & Janitorial employees
  • Implements company Policies and procedures related to clean work environment
  • Ensure the safe application of disinfectants and other chemicals during the sanitation / cleaning process.
  • Manage Sanitation and Janitorial schedules
  • Ensures cleanliness and health standards are maintained at the facility
  • Design, implement and ensure workplace audits to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, as well as to sanitation and cleaning internal procedures and practices.
  • Ensure follow Food Safety related policies and procedures.
  • Design and ensure or provide training to all employees on Food Safety related
  • Experience in disassembling and setting up all production equipment and cleaning all equipment using COP and CIP Systems
  • Required to follow all quality system requirements for position and facility operations.
  • Required to comply with and ensure all general safety, OSHA, USDA / APHIS, FDA and State of Texas regulations for position and facility operations.

Qualifications (specific requirements needed to be qualified for the position)

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Safety, Culinary Arts, Agriculture Sciences, or a similar field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position. Individuals should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to the food industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising those functions of a sanitation team
  • Experience with managing hourly employees’ time and attendance
  • Working Knowledge of HACCP; HACCP certification is a plus
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts as required with or without notice
  • Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
  • Advanced Computer skills and knowledge a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid of understanding of prioritizing tasks and functions based on total impact to the operations
  • Ability and willingness to interact with operational personnel and provide internal training as needed
  • Outstanding interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Ability to focus on process and not people when seeking corrective actions to operational challenges
  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in writing and speaking fluent Spanish is preferred

  • Move from location to location, operate, detect, diagnose, remove, install, modify, use, and control machinery, equipment, and tools in work environment.

  • Must be able to frequently ascend and descend spiraling staircases and work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to communicate, detect, discern, and hear
  • The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
  • This job includes close vision and adjusting focus to detect, discern, operate, and inspect
  • The employee is regularly exposed to energized electrical gear, moving mechanical parts, tools, and vehicles. Is occasionally exposed to low permissible levels of ionizing radiation.

This position requires access to areas and activities which could be dangerous for persons wearing pacemakers and other medical devices

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Constant work temperature averages 41
