JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Associate responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Greet and assist customers with amazing customer service.
• Answer phones and direct customers as needed.
• Maintain a positive and helpful demeanor with customers and staff.
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
• Perform register sales transactions quickly and accurately.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Assist with regular store cleaning and maintenance.
• Stocking of store merchandise.
• Processing of returned or defective merchandise.
• Ensure that endcaps and displays are properly organized and stocked.
• Performing other store operational duties as needed.
• Ability to sell, troubleshoot, and provide solutions for customers.
• Expand your product knowledge through in-house training sources and independent research.
• Execute store activities related to inventory accuracy.
• Execute all store services including key cutting, paint mixing, etc.
• Participate in store meetings.

NOT REQUIRED, BUT NICE TO HAVE:

• Feed industry work experience.
• Hardware store work experience (Especially Ace Hardware)
• Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food, pet supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, paint, lawn & garden, nursery, and birding.
• Experience with Epicor.
• Ability to navigate basic computer programs and social media.
• Experience using Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Bilingual (Spanish & Russian highly valued)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift, carry, and load up to 50 pounds without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to bend and reach regularly.
• Ability to wear a 2-way radio headset for up to 8 hours.

HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE:

This is a part time position (schedule will vary).
Sunday through Saturday.
Must be available to work weekends.

Part Time Employee hours range between 15 & 30 hours per week

Store Hours are Mon-Sat 8AM to 7PM & Sun 9AM to 6PM

SALARY / WAGE

$16.50 to $17.50 DOE
