Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Metal Sawyer to join our team at our facility located in Portland, OR, 97210. The ideal candidate will have experience with operating Band Saws, Calipers and Micrometers, Sliding Table Saws, and possess strong skills in Blueprint Reading, Manual Machining, Machine Setups for Production Runs, and Shop Math.

Responsibilities

• Operate Automatic Band Saws and Sliding Table Saws to cut metal materials according to specifications
• Use Tape Measures, Calipers and Micrometers to ensure accurate measurements
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine cutting specifications
• Move metal parts using rigging and other safety systems.
• Demonstrate manual machining skills to shape and finish metal parts
• Perform machine setups for production runs to meet quality standards
• Utilize shop math skills to calculate dimensions and angles

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Band Saws and Sliding Table Saws
• Familiarity with Calipers and Micrometers for precise measurements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
• Demonstrated manual machining skills
• Experience in setting up machines for production runs
• Strong shop math skills for calculations
