Spanish Teacher for EC3 - 5th Grade (Full Time)

Job Description:

St. John the Beloved School is seeking a qualified candidate to teach Spanish to grades EC3

through 5th grade for the 2024 - 2025 school year. The ideal candidate will implement

intellectually stimulating activities that center on Spanish as a world language for students in our early childhood program and grades K - 5. The candidate will plan and execute exceptional instruction, communicate professionally with all members of the school community, commit to professional growth, collaborate with parents/guardians to ensure the developmental success of every student, create a safe classroom environment, and cultivate a classroom of inquiry and fun. Experience with QTalk or other comparable online foreign language resources is preferred.

The successful candidate will possess a true passion for working with students. Candidates must be committed to the ministry of Catholic education by supporting the teachings, values, and traditions of the Catholic Church, contributing to the faith life of the school, and modeling and promoting the mission and charism of the school.

Required Qualifications:

● Hold or be eligible for Delaware licensing/certification

● Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution/university in the area of

elementary education

● Teaching experience preferred (at least 1 year)

● Clearances on all required background checks

Job Type/Hours: This position is full time (8 hours/day, 7:10 am - 3:10 pm, Monday through

Friday)
