Maryland Pediatric Care is Hiring a Medical Receptionist (FT) Near Germantown, MD

Maryland Pediatric Care located in Germantown Maryland, is seeking to hire a motivated full time medical receptionist. Practice offers a positive work environment and a commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service. An ideal candidate must have good communication and problem solving skills, and demonstrated experience working cooperatively with others as a team.
Primary duties:
  • Greet and checking in patients by displaying professional and welcoming experience.
  • Attend phone calls, faxes and schedule patients, confirm appointments and reschedule as applicable.
  • Collect patient copays and inform medical staff once patient is ready.
  • Verify patient records and update at check in (insurance, demographics, parent information)
  • Work with staff to ensure best use of provider schedules.
  • Keep track of office supplies, anticipate needs and help manage vaccine inventory and order supplies.
  • Collect, open office mail and scan various documents into the EMR.
  • Facilitate the check in process and help with triaging patients.
  • Monitor and update patient intake portal and update patient information.
  • Maintain high quality customer service and friendly intake of patients.
  • Collect patient reviews, organize office and update office records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/ Experience:
  • Minimum high school diploma, experience as a medical receptionist.
  • Experience in a medical setting.
  • Knowledge of outpatient office and medical terminology.
  • Able to work with computers, fax, telephone, copy and scanning documents.
  • Some experience with Electronic medical records.
  • Able to process payments (merchant terminal)
  • A team player with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Quick learner, motivated and display problem-solving work ethic.
Must be COVID-19, FLU vaccinated and updated on vaccines.
Work Schedule:
  • 8:30-5:00pm.
  • Paid time off.
  • hourly rate dependent on experience.
