Clinical Nurse – Outpatient Procedural Sedation

Responsibilities

Deliver intravenous moderate sedation for oral surgery procedures under the supervision of the dentist provider. The nurses’ responsibilities in sedation include:

• Initiating I.V. access and maintaining I.V. infusion during the surgical procedure
• Delivering medications to achieve and maintain moderate sedation
• Continuously monitoring patients under moderate sedation
• Assessing the recovery of patients from sedation and discharging appropriately
• Maintaining the sedation record
• Maintaining the controlled substances record
• Evaluating the health and fitness of patients to undergo moderate sedation

Qualifications

• Current NC Nursing License
• ACLS, BLS certifications
• 1 year of experience with sedation in an emergency or critical care setting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 per week
