Job Summary

The primary function of the Commercial Roofing Estimator is to provide and lead full-service estimating for large-scale and complex projects. Projects will be varied and span multiple types of roofing contracts.

Our ideal candidate has prior experience in commercial roofing consulting and cost estimating. NOTE: This is NOT a remote position.

Primary responsibilities

• The Commercial Roofing Estimator will be responsible for generating roofing project proposals based on cost estimates related to blueprints, specifications, materials, labor costs and other physical data gathered
• Review and utilize historical data from previous P.O.s, subcontracts, productivity and other reports as needed to assess unit and labor calculations.
• Attend all pertinent pre-bid meetings and review proposals and specifications to determine scope of work and estimate.
• Prepare proposal package using bid forms, in house forms and/or job-specific forms
• Manage and maintain working documents and cost database on regular basis to support estimate figures.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
• Coordinate with higher level project management teams, other construction trades and support staff
• Conduct roof surveys and meet with clients to assess requirements, take measurements, photos, and collect data to be used in plan.
• Contribute to team effort and work with other departments to assess rates to be used in estimates. Assist CEO in preparation of inquiries, final bids, etc.
• Provide technical support and guidance to personnel as required.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) will be an asset
• Proficient in relevant software is required
