Red Cedar School has an opening for an outdoor educator. Red Cedar is a K–8 independent school of 50 students in Bristol, Vermont, with a culture of respect and inclusion. This is a part-time position that involves leading and supporting outdoor, nature-based, hands-on activities with our two younger groups (grades K–2 and 3–4). On our two-acre campus we have a small barn with a variety of tools and other hand work materials; an apple orchard; a greenhouse; pollinator, vegetable, and herb gardens; bird houses; a cob oven; a large sand and water play area; and other outdoor spaces.We are looking for someone with the knowledge and experience to contribute to our extensive outdoor education program, to work with our two youngest groups to facilitate outdoor activities for them.This position also includes providing general assistance to our two younger groups for projects, individual support, field trips, and subbing.
