The Opportunity:

Position: Family Therapist - Mental Health and Mood Disorder Programming

Are you a compassionate Family Therapist passionate about making a difference in the lives of adolescents and young adults? Join the team at Sandstone Care in Denver, Colorado, and play a vital role in providing therapy, education, and support in our Mental Health and Mood Disorder Programming. As a Family Therapist, you will lead Multi-Family Groups and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care, fostering the growth and well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and young adults in our specialized Mental Health and Mood Disorder Programming.
  • Facilitate Multi-Family Groups as an integral part of our therapeutic approach, guiding and supporting clients and their families.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including therapists, medical providers, and house managers, to ensure comprehensive and effective client care.

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Some evenings required

Compensation: Competitive Annual Salary of $57,500-68,000 Annual Salary

Training & Experience:

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Clinical License is required (Must be licensed in Colorado or able to transfer license prior to the start date)
  • Preferred licensure: LPC, LCSW, LMFT. LPCC, LSW, MFTC licensure will also be considered.
  • Previous experience in family therapy and mental health treatment is required.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness.
  • Comfortable leading groups of 15-30 people.

Sandstone Care is a teen and young adult behavioral health treatment program offering a full continuum of care. We deliver care through an innovative treatment approach which addresses not only substance use, mood disorders, and mental health concerns, but also supports the entire ecosystem including treating the broader family system, providing academic & vocational support, and helping clients build new, healthy communities to support their longer term recovery.
