Working Foreman for Asphalt Paving Crew
We are a commercial asphalt construction company looking to hire a self-motivated working foreman to work with our commercial asphalt paving crew. Our scope of work includes milling and paving of commercial, high density residential and large retail parking lots, as well as secondary roadways. Due to our growth, we have immediate openings for qualified personnel experienced in paving, milling and site work related construction.
Applicants must have construction crew supervision experience and a clean driver's license. Commercial driver license not required, but you will be required to get your CDL during your employment if you don't already have it. You will need a working knowledge of commercial asphalt paving and milling. You should be able to communicate and work easily with customers, crew members, and management. You should be organized, a problem solver, a self-starter and have good conflict resolution skills.

The following tasks will be amongst your work responsibilities:
· Follow daily work orders to run a crew to complete milling and paving jobs in the field
· Identify issues in the field and problem solve them with management in real time
· Communicate with management throughout the day to schedule material and equipment needs
· Complete daily job reports
· Oversee and coordinate the activities of field employees
· Follow project plans and schedules to ensure that crews meet production goals
· Lead weekly safety meetings and inspections
· Enforce company safety protocol and be responsible for the safety of the crews under his/her direction
· Operate or learn to operate heavy equipment and perform other construction related labor as required
· Able to work 40 hours weekly plus overtime if needed
· Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather (i.e. snow, rain, wind, etc.) if required
· Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
