Job Title : General Program Associate

FLSA Classification : Non- Exempt

Department : Compensation : Programs

Conpensation : $23 - $32

Reports to : Programs Manager / Director

Summary

The General Program Associate holds a variety of responsibilities related to the coordination, data analysis, and process improvement of program activities.

The General Program Associate supports the Director of Programs in duties including but not limited to project management, research, data analysis, meeting facilitation, record keeping, and working with community partners.

The General Program Associate will bring excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills as well as the ability to work successfully with peer nonprofit professionals, residents, program participants, program managers, funders, community partners, and other constituents from diverse backgrounds.

S)he will demonstrate initiative, leadership, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Conduct research and analysis to support the development of grant reports, including data collection, data entry, and data validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to grant guidelines.
  • Provide administrative, planning, and logistical support for CHT programs by working closely with program managers.
  • Assist Program Managers in acting as liaison to community partners, remaining current with local efforts and programmatic work that complement and / or enhance the Health Trust’s work and sharing information pro-actively and strategically.
  • Support the identification of new programmatic opportunities by staying up to date on local efforts and policies relevant to CHT;

maintain and support relationships and communications with key stakeholders.

  • Support CHT’s ability to demonstrate program impact by carefully managing entry, analysis, and retrieval of various programmatic data, including data subject to HIPPA compliance, for reports, internal and external communications, and publications.
  • Ensure that all communications and messages are accurate, clear, and branded by working closely with Marketing and Communications Manager on visual and written collateral (electronic and print);

contribute original programmatic content to social media campaigns.

  • Act as a liaison with grantee partners, nonprofit allies, key stakeholders, community partners, and board committees.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and activities, including promotional / educational events.
  • Provide general office assistance as required.
  • Participate in special events hosted by the Health Trust.
  • Complete other tasks and duties as assigned in support of the Health Trust mission.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Valid class C CA Driver’s License required
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) required
  • Experience building relationships in diverse communities.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to health education or administration a plus but not required.
  • Two years of experience in program support or equivalent
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work with families and children
  • Related field, or equivalent work experience in demonstrating program / community development skills
  • Physical ability to walk, lift, bend and carry up to 35 pounds.

key (i.e., computer, calculator, telephone); and lift (up to 35 lbs.); use writing instruments, computer.

Work Environment

  • Approximately 50% of the time performing job duties is spent outdoors.
  • Approximately 30%-50% of the time is spent on the computer.
  • The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
  • The temperature of the work environment is moderate, and ranges from 65 80 degrees.

Travel Requirements

This job requires local travel occasionally.
