Qualifications:
Is a US Citizen
Is experienced in the work place as an engineering intern in a highly technical, R&D,
and/or manufacturing environment or equivalent.
Is about to start their senior year working towards a Bachelor’s degree or graduate
student in mechanical, electrical or software engineering or equivalent.
Is earning a GPA of 3.2 or higher, this is a plus
Is able to read and understand electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, and software
flowcharts
Working knowledge of Altium for Electrical Engineers is a plus
Working knowledge of SolidWorks, CosmosWorks LabView and/or ProE for Mechanical
Engineers, is a plus
Experienced in programming with HDL for FPGAs, programming with C, C , C#
languages for embedded processors for Software Engineer Interns is a plus
Experienced with Xilinx Virtex 4 and 5 devices for Electrical Engineer Interns is a plus
Experienced with microcontroller/microprocessor designs is a plus
Experienced with systems integration and testing is a plus
Experienced with electronics packaging is a plus
Experienced designing flight and military-grade hardware is a plus
Thermal and structural analysis training is a plus
Key Results:
Mechanical design and drawings, create software designs and code, and/or create
electronic hardware designs of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and
Company specifications 100% of the time
Assess and select materials or components to fit design criteria
Assess and select manufacturing process to stay within or under target manufacturing
costs
Produce documentation for the designs created, software code written, or for the test
data generated
All documentation to meet military standard requirements (if required by program) and
AS9100 standards
Meet internal Iris deadlines
