Moss Holding Company is Hiring a Project Manager, Environments Near Franklin, IL

The Project Manager, Environments, is a leader and customer advocate by way of project management organization, methodologies, and tools. Project Management oversight includes stellar customer communication, project planning and resourcing, execution, monitoring, control, and completion. This position will be hands-on working with project and business stakeholders to define & execute projects.

The Project Manager discipline also involves understanding financial aspects of a project including; ongoing budget to actuals management, identifying and managing scope creep, and protecting final margin.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages opportunity administration by translating design desks and concepts into take-offs to create accurate and comprehensive price quotes.
  • Oversee assigned projects from final customer design approval through contract execution, production, packing, transportation, and invoicing. Keeping all departments touching the project advised of status.
  • Have complete knowledge of scope of work including all outsource service and product providers, inside manufacturing, revisions and deadlines.
  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, HR and all relevant involved departments to ensure contracts are compliant. Heavy involvement to validate Scope Summary and Warranty Terms, and creation of the Schedule of Values.
  • Create and own project management deliverables, e.g., customer facing timelines, labor schedules, scope of work documents for outsource vendors, installation packets, etc.
  • Facilitate estimate and schedule review meetings to align cost assumptions, production resources, and timelines.
  • Manage the work order in MossOS after the project is sold to include items details, due dates, change orders, shipping information, job documents, and revisions.
  • Understand Moss’s in-house and outsourced capabilities and know the step-by-step details required to deliver a successful project.
  • Manages the customer approval process to ensure that the customer is aware of the lead times, submittal requirements, deadlines, and applicable rush fees.
  • Ensure all commercial signoffs from the customer are in place; including purchase orders, change orders and submittals.
  • Ensure punch list items are handled with minimal cost and disruption to the customer or Moss.
  • Work independently in a team environment to deliver projects on-time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Perform hands-on quality checks and packing of the product and oversee the installation of the project whether remotely or in-person.
  • Willingness and capability to travel domestically and internationally for site installations, as needed.

Clean order management and record keeping facilitating smooth close-out processes.

  • Minimum of three years project management experience in a custom manufacturing or construction environment required.
  • PMP certification and bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Comprehensive project management experience in planning systems, scheduling techniques, process management, workflow, and team coordination.
  • Strong organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, decision making, and leadership abilities with a bias towards action and driving the project forward.
  • Experience excelling in fast-paced, high demand, high quality environments.
  • Able to read scale blueprints, technical prints, creative decks, architectural plans and a basic knowledge of architectural millwork and graphics.
  • Proficient in project planning software such as MS Project, Liquid Planner, Smartsheet or other.
  • Extensive Microsoft Excel knowledge and financial acumen required to understand project budgets including cost breakdowns and actual to estimated project costs.
  • Contract negotiation experience or aptitude preferred.
