Position Description: The Quality Assurance Assistant assists the Quality Assurance Manager in processes associated with ISO certification, facility audits and commodity quality issues.

Hours: Day Shift Hours, Monday – Friday

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Assist in writing and revising quality procedures, work instructions, and forms.
• Assist with implementation of ISO 9001.
• File and maintain records throughout the facility.
• Performs in-process inspections of packaged goods for quality defects on a daily basis.
• Visual inspection of manufacturing areas for in-process deficiencies and cleanliness.
• Review of batch records for completion and proper documentation.
• Perform related duties both on the production floor and in the office as assigned.
• Physical attendance is an essential element of the job.

Desirable Education and Experience

• Two year degree or four year degree preferred.
• One year or more of experience preferred.
• Experience associated with quality / customer service preferred.
