Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop an intimate familiarity with industry sectors and related companies within the Health Sciences industry.
  • Gather and prepare industry and company research reports, and assistance with developing client growth strategies and requisite deliverables.
  • Identify potential targets using market mapping techniques jointly developed with clients.
  • Interface with senior executives of clients and target companies, including execution and management of target outreach, management meetings, pitch preparation and presentation, client/target on-site visits, and due diligence.
  • Support in executive-level discussions, which may consist of effectively fielding questions and note-taking, with the ability to convey key insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist clients in preparation of information requests for due diligence.
  • Conduct various financial and valuation analyses including publicly traded comparable, precedent M&A transactions, discounted cash flow and leveraged buyout models.
  • Track M&A and private equity activity, structure, growth, and trends for industries of interest, and utilize knowledge and analysis to identify historical growth trends and extrapolate future growth trends.
  • Participation in internal team meetings, providing commentary and viewpoints, to shape strategic direction and best serve our clients' needs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience / Skills:

  • Recent graduation with prior internship experience in transaction advisory, management consulting, investing analysis or banking.
  • Strong organizational skills and tremendous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, both internally and externally with high-level stakeholders.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Prior experience with financial statements and a thorough understanding of cash flow and valuation preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines, work on multiple assignments of varying size and complexity, and prioritize each assignment, task, and deliverable.
  • Outgoing individual with strong client service mindset and ability to connect and cultivate client relationships.
  • Critical and creative thinking skills with the ability to develop pitch and client materials from scratch to best suit the needs of current and prospective clients.
  • Strong operational, negotiating, and strategic skills with the ability to understand and define markets. Courage and openness in seeking input and counsel from various sources without abdicating responsibility for timely and forceful decision making
  • Strong PC skills with experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Excel Macro experience is a plus.
  • Superior writing skills to efficiently produce reports in a concise and timely manner.
  • Communication skills to effectively summarize, explain, and field questions about important industry, company, and market-related developments.
  • Ability to identify strategic priorities and drive them to completion.
  • Must be able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
  • Experience with Capital IQ is a plus.
  • Prior experience in Healthcare/Life sciences, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or M&A is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Required.

Licenses and Certifications: None required.

Hours: Normal business hours customary for investment banking.

Compensation: Competitive base salary annual bonus

Position Location: Tampa, FL- hybrid *

*3-day WFH /2-day Office ~ on average; may change on the needs of business based on time of year.
