We are looking for an associate to support in supervising daily operations of a school kitchen. Food associate responsibilities include supervising the delivery of food, storing, serving and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently, maintain system compliance, time management and uphold a professional demeanor with school staff and students. Ultimately, you will ensure all plates are properly cooked and served, and our students have a pleasant breakfast and lunch experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate food orders
• Supervise delivery and quality of food
• Check food temperature
• As needed, report food supplies and kitchen equipment
• Train kitchen staff on routines and compliance standards
• Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
• Perform daily administrative and record keeping
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area

Skills

• Proven work experience as a food associate
• Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
• Excellent organizational skills
• Conflict management abilities
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced work environment
• Food handlers certificate needed
