Skycroft Conference Center is Hiring a Baker Near Middletown, MD

About us

Skycroft Conference Center is a Christian camp and retreat center located on 350 scenic mountaintop acres in Middletown, MD.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Baker to join our food service team at our camp and retreat center, Skycroft. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of delicious baked goods. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a love for baking and a desire to work in the food industry.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, breakfast baked goods and desserts

- Follow recipes and ensure that all products meet quality standards

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a bakery or culinary environment is preferred

- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures

- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of baked goods

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

When time allows, the Baker may also participate in other aspects of meal service at Skycroft by assisting with food preparation, serving meals and cleaning the kitchen and dining areas.

This is a part-time position, averaging between 25 hours per week. Daytime shifts. Weekdays and some weekends required.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
