Job Summary:

The Lube Technician plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of A-Line's equipment. Responsibilities encompass routine inspections, preventative maintenance, efficient troubleshooting, and additional duties supporting the overall maintenance needs of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on A-Line's diverse fleet, including heavy-duty and light equipment, trucks, trailers, and industrial machinery.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal working conditions.
• Execute specialized repairs on screw and belt conveyors, showcasing expertise in addressing complex machinery components.
• Maintain and repair transformer decommissioning equipment with precision.
• Swiftly troubleshoot reported problems, providing timely and effective resolutions to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Apply precision and care in cleaning and lubricating machinery components, contributing to enhanced performance and longevity.
• Diligently replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
• Proactively monitor inventory levels and order new parts, ensuring a well-maintained stock.
• Compile comprehensive inspection reports, document repairs, and communicate all findings to management for informed decision-making.
• Utilize a diverse range of tools and equipment while strictly adhering to safety precautions during truck repairs.
• Conduct test drives on vehicles to verify proper functioning, identify potential issues, and determine effective solutions.
• Undertake building and ground maintenance tasks as required, actively supporting the overall operational efficiency of facilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.

• ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic software.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Related experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and Class A CDL or ability to obtain.
• Experience in Mig, Stick Welding, and fabrication preferred.
• Possession of own hand tools and storage required.

Physical Requirements:

• Demonstrates precise manual dexterity and stability for intricate work.
• Ability to perceive details at close range.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
• Capable of navigating facilities and machinery, involving climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.

Working Conditions:

• Availability to work on some Saturdays and overtime when required.
• Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme heat, wind, rain, snow, and freezing temperatures.
• Operation in conditions characterized by loud noise, heavy vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and exposure to both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
