isspro is Hiring an Engineering Project Manager Near Portland, OR

Job Description:

Directs, coordinates, and manages task assignments and completion of projects for engineering team. Schedules and facilitates cross-functional team meetings. Drives projects from the initial concept through product release. Track team and individual progress to ensure completion of projects on schedule. Supervises the engineering department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor progress of assigned projects; track timelines, milestones, standards, and targets alerting appropriate personnel of any obstacles or potential delays; assigns action items and tracks completion.
  • Use ASANA project management software to create, track, and maintain projects. Manage project plans required to advance each assigned project. Establish the overall project work plan.
  • Schedule and facilitate regular project team meetings. Facilitate weekly APQP meeting.
  • Monitor, and report metrics for key performance indicators (KPI’s) during project execution.
  • Ensure project deliverables satisfy the project requirements within the agreed upon scope of work.
  • Provide leadership to the engineering team. Conduct weekly check-in meeting.
  • Conduct engineering group individual annual performance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain professional business type relationships with coworkers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Participate in annual quality certification audit.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of project/leadership management experience, or education/experience equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Experience in project management software (ASANA).
  • Ability to organize, direct and manage the activities and performance of others.
  • A combination of engineering education and experience will be considered.
  • Problem solving skills and good communication skills. Innovative and well-organized.
