Position: Underground Utility Locator Technician (SUE)

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Underground Utility Locator to join our team. This position will play a critical role in identifying and marking the location of underground utilities to ensure safe excavation and construction activities.

A day in the life:

• You will be operating electromagnetic locators and/or ground penetrating radar (GPR) equipment to mark out underground utilities
• Reading and interpreting utility maps
• Coordinating daily with Project Managers
• Adhering to company and job specific safety policies and procedures
• In this role you will need to lift moderately heavy objects, use basic equipment and tools to properly and safely walk and stand for long periods of time, and must perform manual labor under adverse field conditions

What you bring to GdB, a SAM Company:

• Previous experience in underground utility locating
• OSHA 10 Hour Course for Construction
• Some out-of-town work and overnight stays will be required
• A valid driver’s license
• May be required to take a drug test
