GELITA USA, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Manager, Accounting/Controlling.

This position is responsible for the overall and ongoing management of the functions of GELITA USA, Inc. Accounting and Controlling Department. This includes Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Cash Management/Treasury, Cost Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, General Ledger and Intercompany Accounting, Travel Expense Management, and Taxes.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Develop, implement and ensure compliance of all Accounting/Controlling policies and programs for GELITA USA in accordance with the policies and practices of the Corporation, US laws and regulations.
• Support implementation and alignment of applicable global strategies, initiatives and financial objectives at local country level.
• Key business partner in the local management team, be liaison with outside departments.
• Execution and management of the planning processes in line with global functions from GELITA Headquarters (HQ) and the local management team.
• Manage (Coordinate with 3rd party preparer) and authorize filing of Federal, State and local tax returns. Advise on Sales & Use Tax.
• Drives proactive initiative for business improvements and related analysis of improvement options.
• Ensures efficient and effective reporting and preparation of financial reports locally and for GELITA HQ reporting purposes in line with the defined due dates.
• Hire, train, develop retain and supervise skilled Accounting/Controlling staff.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have: 

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting/controlling (or comparable field); MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience working directly in the accounting function in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous management experience, in an accounting function is strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting, cost accounting, income taxes and sales and use tax.
• Practical and working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting practices.
• Advanced MS Office skills required and experience with an integrated ERP system or SAP preferred.

Must have high level of integrity, trustworthiness, and the ability to handle confidential information. Strong leadership and team-building skills along with the ability to work and interact with personnel throughout the global and local organization.
