We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and clients.
Duties:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions
- Research and analyze historical data, market trends, and industry standards to ensure accurate pricing
- Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings or value engineering
- Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations
- Assist in the preparation of contract documents
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry (5 years)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Proficiency in construction estimating software
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
