Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
· Assembles product components at assigned assembly station using a variety of hand and power tools in accordance with production requirements and quality guidelines
· Follows defined assembly work instructions, processes, and procedures
· Paint parts and final products
· Performs required testing of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards
· Notifies supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions
· Must have at least 1 year of experience assembly or production environment
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· A High School Diploma or GED is the only educational prerequisite
· Physical dexterity to assemble small parts
· Operate forklifts when required, after proper training and certification
· Maintain housekeeping in designated sections of warehouse
· Ensure a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Demonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environment
· Ability to read and comprehend procedures
· Effectively work within established time guidelines
· Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment to reach a common goal
· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or instructed
Preferred Skills
· Prior mechanical assembly experience
· Painting experience preferred
· Ability work well under pressure. He or she must be able to understand and adhere to oral and written instructions. Safety and attendance are number one priority.
· Highly organized with the desire to continually improve
· Strong attention to detail
