WSC Home Care is Hiring a Team Lead Caregiver- Howell, MI (Primary 2nd Shift) Near Howell, MI

We are located in Livingston County and seeking a lead caregiver to assist two ladies remain independent in their apartment.

Working Schedule/Hours for Role :

  • Wednesday 12-8p
  • Thursday: 7a-11p
  • Friday 3p-11p
  • Every other weekend 3p-11p

AREAS & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assisting the Home Care Supervisor with overseeing the medication program, specifically processing physician's scripts, submitting orders to pharmacy, entering new medications onto the medication program sheet, inventorying medications and contacting pharmacy regarding orders.

2. Attending medical appointments, as scheduled and communicating information following appointments. Additionally, maintain accurate records of health-related activities. Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately, contributing to efficient operations.

3. Assists person served with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, walking and other activities necessary to maintain personal hygiene.

4. Assists with welcoming new caregivers, conducting orientations and helps to update in home binders and records.

5. Supports and conducts caregiver training in accordance with scheduled shifts and assists with welcoming and training new caregivers.

6. Supporting caregivers with treatment implementation outlined in the Client Service Plans.

7. Identifies emergency situations quickly and follows emergency procedures in the event of any incident, injury or significant change in individual’s condition and or behavior. Identify and respond swiftly to emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those under your care.

8. Reviewing and organizing daily paperwork for submission.

9. Assisting with maintaining client schedules.

10. Assists with caregiver scheduling issues and updating service/task schedules.

11. Follow individual care plans to provide nutritional support, meal planning, mobility assistance, and housekeeping, fostering independence and well-being

12. Additional Duties: Flexibility is key – you'll assist with tasks as assigned, contributing to the smooth functioning of our programs. Must be comfortable coordinating client(s) into community.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6 Months of direct care experience or enrollment in a healthcare-related program.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong communication skills, physical capability for caregiving tasks, and a commitment to ethical conduct and client-centered care.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation necessary; transportation staff subject to screening.

Physical Demands:

Job duties include regular talking and hearing, occasional standing, walking, sitting, manual tasks, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. Specific vision abilities needed include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated on a case-by-case basis.
