The Washington County Community Action Council (WCCAC) is dedicated to fostering community wellness, empowering individuals, and eliminating poverty by providing comprehensive support services. Job Summary:

The Health and Wellness Director is a pivotal role within WCCAC, responsible for leading and innovating our health and wellness programs. This includes successful grant writing to fund these initiatives, hands-on healthcare and case management, and directing the Circles program to break the cycle of poverty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health services administration, proven success in grant writing, experience in healthcare and case management, and a deep understanding of community health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Program Leadership and Development: Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive health and wellness programs. Stay informed of emerging health trends and legislation to ensure programs meet community needs and regulatory standards.

- Grant Writing and Management: Utilize successful grant writing experience to secure funding for health and wellness programs. Oversee grant administration to ensure compliance with funding requirements.

- Healthcare and Case Management: Apply extensive healthcare knowledge to develop strategies that improve community health outcomes. Provide direct oversight of case management practices, ensuring compassionate and effective support for individuals in need.

- Circles Program Direction: Lead the Circles USA program at WCCAC, fostering sustainable community support networks that empower individuals to achieve economic stability.

- Community Engagement and Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with community leaders, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote program goals and collaborative opportunities.

- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage a team of health and wellness professionals, fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications:

- Doctorate degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field.

- At least 10 years of relevant experience in health and wellness program management, including significant experience with grant writing and administration.

- Proven track record in healthcare and case management, with a strong understanding of community health needs and resources.

- Experience leading or participating in Circles USA or similar programs aimed at poverty alleviation.

- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.

- Strong communication and partnership-building skills to effectively engage with the community and stakeholders.

- Ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
