Job Summary

As the Produciton Supervisor in the yogurt department, you will be responsible for assisting Plant Manager in coordinating all activities of the yogurt room with high priority in keeping the employee experience first class. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with co-workers and management.
• Coordinate day to day activities of all Yogurt Room workers production, meeting production goals and schedules.
• Ensure that adequate training is provided to the new employees.
• Purchase supplies as needed including materials and packing.
• Responsible for maintenance, repair, and sanitation for the Yogurt Room and Breaking room.
• Coordinate Quality and Safe Standards for yogurt production.
• Responsible for minimizing loss and maximizing yogurt product quality.
• Examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
• Create and maintain preventive maintenance, sanitation and cleaning programs for the yogurt department and ensure all programs are followed.
• Troubleshoot repairs and maintains all equipment.
• Regularly use and enforce use of lock out tag devices when working with equipment to ensure accidents and/or equipment damage does not occur.
• Maintain adequate supplies for necessary cleaning, repairs, and maintenance.
• Use forklifts and pallet jacks, as well as replacement of light bulbs and or lighting units as needed.
• Monitor and maintain all cooling units daily.
• Check and flush (if needed) of all eyewash stations on a weekly basis.
• Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment by actively participating in, supporting, and enforcing the company health and safety programs and Oregon’s Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Qualifications

- Bachlor's degree in Food Science or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience

- Must be able to communicate in the English language. Bilingual preferred

- Strong computer skills with experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe DC, ect.

- Able to work in various climate conditions including cold environments, walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time.

- Able to work dayshifts, night shifts and weekends and holidays depending on production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
