Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
The responsibilities of the Inspector position includes but is not limited to inspecting/checking the joists as they come off the production line to make sure they confirm to all Vulcraft's and SJI quality standards, including making repairs to joists as needed. Additional responsibilities include testing joists, repair of joists, and documentation maintenance. Candidate must have the ability and be willing to travel to jobsites, as needed.
Basic computer skills
This position requires that the candidate be AWS Certified Welder CWI and GMAW (wire)
