Job Duties and Functions:

• Conduct a variety of chart audits, including but not limited to coding, adjustments, & documentation checks, gap in care missed opportunity reviews, productivity reviews, and patient satisfaction audits. Must be able to determine missed information.
• Routinely look for improvement opportunities
• Remain up to date on clinical protocol, quality initiatives and other clinical chart requirements to ensure accuracy of audits.
• Periodically present findings using qualitative examples and quantitative data to show progress towards goals.
• Plan and conduct regular in-service and continuing education opportunities for providers and clinical support staff.
• Work independently, solving problems within the purview of their authority.
• Assist in dealing with patient issues.
• Work with the Director of Compliance to implement quality improvement activities that enhance clinical outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Needed:

• High school Diploma
• Must be able to read account ledgers for accuracy of balances and credits
• Prior experience as an auditor is a plus.
• Must possess experience in local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
• Microsoft Office experience. (Required)
• A knowledge of dental terminology. (Highly desired)
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
