Vienna Beef Ltd is Hiring a Plant Manager Near Chicago, IL
Report To:Senior Vice President of Operations
Primary Function:Responsible for achieving the organization's over arching goals of excellence in:
- Employee Safety
- Food Safety
- Quality
- Productivity
Primary Function:
- Develop initiatives to achieve performance, quality and safety standards and ensure achievement
- Provides guidance to the manufacturing process plan; including personnel requirements, material
- Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of organization and suppliers to obtain
- Capital project planning and execution.
- Utilization of the ERP system to analyze variance data and drive process change to affect them in a positive way.
- Set clear priorities and align resources to deliver against business and regulatory requirements in
- Ensure compliance of all OSHA, FDA, HACCP programs, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Commitment to superior quality and safety.
- Drive lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement processes.
- Ensure leadership team maintains a positive, productive working relationship with employees.
- Work with all members of leadership team to ensure cost-savings initiatives are developed and
- Manage capital projects to continuously improve plant's productivity and profitability
Experience:5 years progressive manufacturing experience. 3 years of production management experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
- Strong analytical, presentation, time-management and customer relationship skills
- Management, decision-making, problem solving skills
- Strong computer skills (ERP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
