YWCA of Southern Arizona is Hiring a Women's Business Center Program Manager Near Tucson, AZ

The Women’s Business Center (WBC) Program Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of the WBC with program development, delivery, business counseling, and grant management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Director of the WBC to develop and implement effective programming.
  • Supports the WBC in achieving program targets by meeting annual goals for unique clients served, new business starts, and capital infusion transactions.
  • Assists with designing and implementing tools to evaluate programs, track program effectiveness, and ensure WBC goals and milestones are being met.
  • Provides individualized business counseling to program participants.
  • Creates program schedules and activities, develops program curriculum, and facilitates courses.
  • Creates and maintains client files, financial records, standard operating procedures, and other requirements under the guidance of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and other funding agencies.
  • Maintains strong relationships with the community, donors, and Board members, private industry banks, local businesses, chambers, service clubs, SBA Resource Partners, and other Women in Business Networks that support the achievement of short- and long-term program goals.
  • Manages a team of staff, consultants, and interns executing the administrative and logistical requirements of the WBC program and grants.
  • Coordinates, trains, and oversees program facilitators and volunteers.
  • Assists with organizing events and fundraisers.
  • Assists with fund development and grant management.
  • Collaborates with YWCA staff to research, write, and submit grants.
  • Assists the WBC Program Director with developing a marketing and community outreach plan to engage target markets and ensure strong program participation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to work effectively with the Board and staff, donors, volunteers, and community members.
  • Knowledge of community resources and social service agencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify priorities, take initiative, and make clear recommendations to ensure successful delivery of programs, services, reporting, and customer service.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Attention to detail and deliver on deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, non-profit management, or a related field
  • 2 years’ experience in coordinating or managing a non-profit or community-based program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in small business development
  • Experience in community networking
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Experience with federal grants
  • Experience with volunteer management
  • Bilingual

Experience:

  • Supervising Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Social Work: 1 year (Preferred)

Working Environment
