WSR Grounds LLC. is looking for knowledgeable irrigation technicians. We have multiple openings and these are all immediate start opportunities.
*****WE WILL HELP TO OBTAIN IRRIGATION LICENSE AND PROVIDE ANY TRAINING IF NEEDED*****
Responsibilities
• Minimum 3 years’ experience of detailed irrigation techniques
• Knowledge of irrigation and electrical timer systems
• Programming timers and performing routine irrigation inspections
• Testing soil and vegetation to determine irrigation needs
• Knowledge of soil, vegetation, climate, plants, hardscape, landscape, maintenance, masonry, excavating, grading, and drainage
• Install, test, maintain and replace irrigation equipment including sprinklers, pumps, water lines, and suction valves
• Ability to operate heavy machinery for trenching, installation of pipes, lines, wiring systems and controllers
• Knowledge of water wells
• Ability to map out irrigation areas, digging trenches, installation of equipment, testing the system, and conducting regular maintenance checks
• Ability to install electrical timer systems
• Expertly install any sized irrigation systems
• Conduct routine maintenance checks
• Troubleshoot and replace faulty parts
• Inspecting and loading equipment for the day’s work
• Oversight of supplies, equipment, and coordination of materials as needed
• Record keeping on machinery, tools, and vehicle maintenance
• Completion of daily/weekly jobs and reporting work flow status to Landscape Supervisor
• Adherence to all safety procedures
• Cross-training with others in the department
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Requires 3-5 years of irrigation experience
• Irrigation License/Irrigation Technician License
• High school diploma or GED
• Proven work experience as an Irrigation Technician
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform all physical activities, including lifting heavy objects (50 lbs min.)
• Strong work ethic
• Professional and courteous manner; ability to work harmoniously and develop strong work relationships with others on the team, clients, and general public
• Ability to effectively communicate across all levels
• Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently
• Ability to exercise good judgment and strong attention to detail
• Regular attendance and punctuality mandatory for this position
• Spanish is a plus
