Twin Cedars Youth & Family Services is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Columbus, GA

Twin Cedars Youth & Family Services (TCYFS) is a non profit agency serving more than 1,800 babies, children, youth & families each year. with 25 programs in 5 cities throughout the state of Georgia and East Alabama, we are seeking a full-time Graphic Designer/Webmaster in the Columbus, GA area

Description of Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design

- Creates and design all direct mail, rack cards, business cards, event programs, event fliers, social media graphics, annual reports, fliers, signs, banners, posters, postcards, t-shirts, and other required collateral material.
- Create and design various materials for digital and print.
- Select colors, fonts, images, and layouts.
- Ensure products are complete in a timely manner with a quality product.
- Advise best practices and optimizations throughout design projects.
Marketing
- Responsible for all marketing activities and for creating and updating agency/event collateral for Twin Cedars locations as needed.
- Serve as the overseer of the Twin Cedars brand to maintain consistency across programs.

- Create guidelines for how logos and other branding materials should be applied.

- Creates and design the Twin Cedars annual report.

- Uses constant contact to create email newsletters, event announcements, agency communications, ect.

- Manages the social media presence of twin cedars, including any accounts held by agency programs, creating & posting content, graphics, photos & video as needed.

-Assist in the conduct of media relations efforts.

- Works in cooperation of media relations efforts.

-Responds to inquiries about Twin Cedars from the public.

- Participates with the development team in maintaining stocks of marketing collaterals and event inventories.

Websites

- Updates all twincedars.org page and subpage content as needed upon the request of the appropriate Twin Cedars Staff.

- At least twice per year, review all twincedars.org pages and subpages, to identify and update any outdated information.

- Maintain the Twin Cedars website event sub-page, to advertise all Twin Cedars events, providing links to the appropriate registration and information pages for each event.

Event Registration and Giving Pages

-Learns the online event management programs used by TCYFS for the purpose of maintaining accurate registration and payment information for all TCYFS events.

- Creates all online event registration and payment pages using online event management tools.

- Creates unique online giving pages for campaigns and programs as needed and post them in appropriate online and social media locations.

Events

- Provides support for special events in all communities served by Twin Cedars both on front-end planning and on setup, attendance and cleanup of events.

Qualifications

- Completion of an undergraduate major in journalism, communications, advertising, public relations or a related field emphasizing public communication at a four year college or university and three years of experience involving public relations, event/project management, and the creation of advertising, promotional and public relations materials.

- Must have a demonstrable portfolio of marketing collaterals designed and created using adobe creative cloud.

-Must possess excellent written and interpersonal communications skill and public speaking skills, with experience in writing collaterals and making presentations to diverse group.

-Computer literate- must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud suite (photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), constant contact and WordPress, Hootsuite, and social media platforms. Must possess familiarity with database platforms such as Donor Perfect.

- Must have professional experience with social media marketing.

-Must possess the ability to network for the purpose of cultivating new and existing relationships with the community.

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with an attitude of teamwork and attention to detail.

- Self-starter with the ability to accomplish projects on time and make decisions with little supervision.

- the ability to travel periodically as needed to other cities served by TCYFS.

-Reports to Director of Development and marketing.

- Works in cooperation with the other members of the development and marketing team.

- Interfaces with Donors, stakeholders, vendors, and larger communities served by TCYFS.

- Interacts with all Twin Cedars staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
