Thomas Tool & Mold, a small and well established manufacturing company in Westerville, is expanding its team and seeking an entry-level machinist to join our team. If you have a passion for a combination of machining, computers, 3d printing and a desire to learn while making things, this may be a good fit for you.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with experienced machinists to learn and develop skills.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of machined parts.
• Learn how to draw 3d parts in CAD, then program to make them in CAM software

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of machining principles.
• Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo training and development.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials if required.

Starting rate negotiable based on experience, $20-$30/hour expected starting range. Long term successful employees should expect to make $60,000-$100,000 in total compensation. Overtime pay available, including double rate for over 45 hours. Medical insurance included for full time employees
