St. Pius X Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to perform the functions of Accountant on a full or part-time basis. This position reports directly to the Business Manager.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Counts and receipts of school monies.
• Prepares change boxes for student, sports and special activities.
• Prepares bank deposits and the corresponding cash receipts journal entry.
• Processes payments on accounts as they become due. Maintains files of paid invoices, charging expenditures to proper accounts.
• Prepares a monthly reconciliation of contributions.
• Assists with tuition collection and record keeping.
• Assists with analyzing the financial statements and accounts for accuracy.
• Assists with the annual budget preparation.
• Provides general support to the Business Manager, Advancement and school offices as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.

The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree or experience in the accounting field and a commitment to the Catholic faith and Catholic education. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and have the ability to effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
