Town of Windsor CT is Hiring a CNA / Activities Assistant Near Windsor, CT
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assists clients with ADL’s such as toileting, ambulating, and eating
- Facilitates recreation and therapeutic programs such as art, music, chair exercise, word games, discussions, etc...
- Observes and reports any changes or concerns regarding clients to Adult Day Care Professionals to Adult Day Care Professionals and /or the Caring Connection Manager
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties such as receiving the public, answering phone, activity calendar planning, assist with meals
- Participates in the maintenance of the physical environment of the program areas
- Possess the basic knowledge of the physical, mental, and emotional needs of older adults
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills with both clients as well as other staff members
- Ability to be flexible and work well in a team environment
- High School diploma or GED equivalent, with one year of experience working with older adults
- Connecticut Certification as a Nurse Assistant
- Hours are per diem
- The hourly rate for this position is $17.5 to $19 per hour - depending on experience
