Crew Lead/Manager

The Crew Lead/Manager will be a key player to the company’s success by creating and upholding operational processes, being kind, thoughtful and a dependable team player.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

● Act as on-site Event Lead, working with crew to build all stage sets and decor according to renderings and floor plans, and coming up with creative solutions if issues arise.

● Interact with clients and vendors during events in a professional manner to ensure smooth set-up and breakdown, as well as managing any last minute changes or issues on-site.

● Hire Crew and implement crew training by developing a thorough training program for all crew and warehouse staff.

● Ensure quality standards of all decor and custom pieces prior to going on a job, and as they return from events.

● Hold crew members accountable for ensuring all SLDG policies are followed, and report any problems to the Manager.

● Create systems to maintain organization in the warehouse and keep up-to-date, detailed inventory using internal platforms.

A great candidate is/has:

• Highly organized and an excellent communicator
• Experience in event setup/ breakdown ( 5-10 year experience)
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and potential holidays
• Dependable and punctual - must be able to show up on time for every scheduled shift
• Look presentable, be in uniform and remember you are a reflection of the company
• Reliable mode of transportation to and from event venues
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds

The ultimate candidate has:

• Experience with drape, carpentry, rigging, and/or painting
• Experience and a clean record driving non-CDL box trucks
• Management experience
• Ability to work with team members and think critically on the spot
• Ability to stay calm when operating under tight deadlines

Must haves:

• 5-10 year experience
• US Citizen, Resident, Green Card holder, work visa
• Character Reference

Salary: 70k

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
