The Players Club and Spa at Lely Resort is Hiring a Tennis Concierge Near Naples, FL

We are a 15-acre tropical retreat where residents can relax, meet new people, enjoy recreational facilities, and participate in the many programs and activities available.

Job Summary:

The tennis concierge plays a crucial role in ensuring that our customers have a seamless and enjoyable experience at our facility. The tennis concierge is responsible for maintaining the tennis shop. From assisting with merchandise purchases to booking tennis court times and providing information on our amenities, our concierge is at the forefront of delivering outstanding customer service. We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate who thrives in a customer-focused environment to join our team as a Tennis Concierge.

Typical Functions

  • Restocks merchandise when supply is low. Keeps inventory of merchandise.
  • Fill in on court when an extra player is needed.
  • Teach tennis to tiny tots during Junior Camps.
  • Match tennis players accordingly to play.
  • Provide phone coverage while Director of Court Sport and Head Tennis Pro are on court.

Specific Duties

  • Supply towels, cups and ice to members and guests.
  • Record all charge tickets.
  • Change displays when instructed.
  • Record court reservations and assist in finding cooperative partners for players.
  • Promote and sell tennis shop merchandise.
  • Promote tennis events by phone calls to members.
  • Assist in court maintenance.
  • Order/purchase merchandise for tennis shop.
  • Set-up apparel in fitness facility each morning.
  • Keep tennis shop and Director of Court Sport office neat.
  • Collect and record court fees.
  • Record all sales transactions.
  • Assist in packing and unpacking inventory.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
