POSITION SUMMARY

As a Maintenance Technician Level 2, your role is all about keeping our equipment in top shape. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and fixing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues on various machinery. Preventive maintenance, inventory management, and following safety procedures are key parts of the job. You'll also work closely with supervisors and vendors. We're looking for someone with technical know-how, including basic electrical and mechanical skills, computer proficiency, and a knack for troubleshooting. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs. and being comfortable in a dynamic work environment. We offer competitive compensation and room to grow based on experience. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform maintenance work on all equipment, including production, packaging, and logistics equipment.
  • Diagnose basic electrical systems, mechanical components, pneumatic components, and controls to identify hazards, defects and need for adjustments, repairs, or programming.
  • Install, maintain and understand application principles of mechanical drive components, bearings and seals, material handling equipment, pumps and compressors and actuating mechanisms;
  • Ensures operation and reduces downtime of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing routine preventive maintenance requirements on electrical motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems and production machinery as well as diagnostics and repairs on all.
  • Aid in maintaining proper inventory of maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Understand and practice lockout/tagout safety procedures.
  • Documents work accurately, as required, to meet all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good vendor and contractor communication and relationships.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with operations department supervisors to resolve all maintenance issues.
  • Other related responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures and preventative maintenance techniques;
  • Basic knowledge of single and 3-phase electrical systems (preferred);
  • Working knowledge of temperature control systems (preferred);
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems;
  • Mechanically inclined/able to operate hand tools and machinery
  • Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food and beverage processing plant;
  • Working knowledge of compression fittings and plumbing;
  • Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems (preferred);
  • Forklift/scissor lift experience preferred; if not, willing to be trained;
  • Effective communication and organizational skills;
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout safety procedures, as well as any other OSHA standards applicable to food and beverage production facilities;
  • Proficiency in general professional computer use, including the ability to effectively utilize software such as Microsoft Office for daily tasks;
  • Keen attention to detail;
  • Holds self and team to exacting standards;

  • Ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal;
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to repeatedly lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.;
  • The ability to work in a challenging environment: cold and noisy; handling hazardous materials; irregular shifts and long hours during peak packaging periods; crawling over and under equipment while performing repairs/maintenance, bending, walking, going up and down stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment. Hearing protection equipment is required; position requires alertness and ability to respond to equipment malfunction.

COMPENSATION: $27-36 /hour DOE and skills.
