King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use.
Evening and Night shifts include shift differential pay in addition to the standard compensation rate.


Some of what you'll do:

This position provides professional specialized nursing expertise to the Quality Department. Assists the facility to reduce risk by conducting reviews of events, assessments of risk, and provides recommendations to leadership regarding opportunities for improvement related to the provisions of clinical care. Co-lead and author of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of declared Sentinel Events or serious adverse events. Supports the QD to Improve systems related issues that affect patient care and maintain Centers for Medicare and Medicaid certification. Keeps the leadership informed of patient safety issues and areas of risk. Provides reports to leadership which include data analysis, tracking, and trending of clinical data gleaned from Clinical Risk Management Reviews. Acts as a clinical resource for staff, participates in establishing, implementing and improving the Quality Assurance and Performance Program (QAPI).
What we're looking for:

Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
AND
One year of professional nursing experience. OR Equivalent education/experience
OR
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and at least two years professional nursing experience OR equivalent education/experience
Incumbent must have at least six months' experience with Root Cause Analysis processes.
Effectively communicates orally and in writing with management, peers and patients.
The ability to identify potential Sentinel Event occurrences in accordance with The Joint Commission (T JC) and OHBH policies. Incumbent should be experienced with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations and T JC standards and accreditation process.
Incumbent should be able to demonstrate appropriate, proficient and knowledgeable report and policy writing skills and experience with project development,
Preference given to candidate with three years of prior experience working with psychiatric patients.
Should have working knowledge of Information systems, electronic health records and Microsoft Office, to Include Excel, Access, and Power Point.
